ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Rhonda McConnell has always had an interest in art and design. At a young age she learned to draw cartoons and wanted to be a cartoonist. Art was the favorite subject in high school, and she dreamed of becoming an interior decorator. At Indiana University she studied and acquired a degree in art and interior design. Rhonda now enjoys designing and creating her own unique artworks using fired glass enamels in combination with exotic woods, natural gemstones, and metals. All pieces are handmade in the Alloy Kats Studio in Anaheim. Rick McConnell is an inventor and an innovator. As a child his passion was art and science. With science winning out he has spent all of his professional career in state-of-the-art technology businesses. He finds it refreshing to create art utilizing materials and processes he used in producing high technology products. He enjoys machining metal, wood, and plastics as well as integrating electronics to create exciting and unique works of art. Currently Rick is especially interested in the world of Sci-Fi...retro flying saucers & laser blasters intrigue him! He is full of ideas for new and amazing works of art.
